“War from the Victim’s Point of View – Photographs by Jean Mohr” was initially curated and produced by the Musée de l’Elysée, Switzerland. From its original inception, it has toured extensively around the world. In Japan, it was recreated for the first time into an outdoor event held at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park.

Five modular pods were designed in place of the traditional gallery setting, each displaying the four chapters curated along with the introduction and artist texts. These pods acted as a signifier, identifying and representing the various aspects of life from a victim’s perspective. Located in a central position, adjacent to the memorial and the official museum this outdoor exhibition design transformed the space into a dynamic and interactive site celebrating the 150 years of the diplomatic relations between Switzerland and Japan.
