Bamboo Folder (Limited Edition 2016)

INFORMATION
A bone folder is hand tool used in paper crafts such as bookbinding and origami to create sharp folds and creases. This bamboo folder was designed and crafted originally as a Limited Edition for Atelier origami out of dyed bamboo from Arashiyama, close to Kyoto and which is famous for its unique bamboo quality. After being put into shape many layers of urushi lacquer have been applied to give a high end finish. Atelier origami’s logo is engraved into the handle and filled with gold paint, a techniques similar to the one used traditionally in the bamboo ruler crafting.
