Black Bamboo Easel
INFORMATION
Picture stand made out of kurochiku (black bamboo) and black oxide-coated steel, using each materials’ specificities. Two light weight bamboo sticks are mounted together creating a hinge. The folded steel rod slips into the bamboo creating a sturdy base. The photography is mounted with two hand smithed nails used in traditional Japanese carpentry.
