Hanmaru Hashi

INFORMATION ー
This portable bamboo chopsticks concept is called “Hanmaru hashi” or “Half-circular chopsticks” in English. Due to the semicircular cross section, the chopsticks fit into a surprisingly thin cylindrical case that can be carried with every day in a hand bag or suitcase. The robust metal case and the bamboo chopsticks can be used without wearing out. The simple but very decent design allows using the product at the office as well as at a restaurant.

「半丸箸」は、その名のとおり断面が半円になっている竹の携帯マイ箸です。ケースに入れた端正でスリムな姿は、もらった方に驚きをもって受け入れてもらえるでしょう。基本的に日常使いを想定しており、高価になり過ぎない素材と製法を選んで作り上げています。逆にチープ過ぎず、しっかりしたオケージョン［レストラン等］でも使っていただけるような「まともさ」も素材の使用や表面処理、ディテールで実現しました。また、使うヒトの所作の美しさという点にも配慮し、箸を取り出す際、少し傾けるだけで自然にスッと手に収まるようデザインされています。
