KYOTOGRAPHIE 2015 / Kimiko Yoshida
INFORMATION –
Exhibition design of ”All that’s Not me”, Kimiko Yoshida’s first full-scale solo exhibition in Japan and organised by KYOTOGRAPHIE International Photography Festival, Kyoto. The main exhibits were four oversized hanging scrolls which silk was dyed using a composition of original patterns from the kimono workshop of the Noguchi family. The mounting of the scrolls was achieved by the ninth-generation scroll and folding screen artisan, Naohachi Usami. The exhibition was held at the Noguchi family residence, a designated Cultural Property by the city of Kyoto.
